Official Tunisian delegation will participate in the 8th All-Russian Forum-Exhibition “GOSZAKAZ-2012” (15-17 February 2012, IEC “Crocus Expo”, Moscow).

Tunisian companies will present joint exposition at the 8th All-Russian Forum-Exhibition “GOSZAKAZ-2012” (total square – 21 sqm).   The interest of international business community to the Forum is growing from year to year thanks to such advantageous features of the Russian market as the statutory equality of foreign companies with local ones in public tenders, the policy of Russian top leaders concerning the acquisition of high quality and innovative goods and services for state needs and ample opportunity to participate in investment projects through federal and local target programs.

Organizers of the Tunisian exposition are Tunisian export agency CEPEX and Russian-Tunisian business council.

Tunisian participants of GOSZAKAZ-2012 represent the following industries and sectors:

  • Agrifood
  • Textile and Clothing
  • Handicraft
  • Services
  • Pharmaceutical industry

There will be carried out joint session of the Russian-Tunisian business council on the 16th of February in the frame of the All-Russian Forum-Exhibition “GOSZAKAZ-2012”.

Meeting between His Excellency, Mr. Ali Goutali, Ambassador of Tunisia in Russia and Mrs. Tatiana Sadofyeva, Chairman of the Russian-Tunisian business council

On Friday, 16th of December, there was held meeting between His Excellency, Mr. Ali Goutali, Ambassador of Tunisia in Russia and Mrs. Tatiana Sadofyeva, Chairman of the Russian-Tunisian business council. Participants discussed such questions as new opportunities and perspectives of Russian-Tunisian cooperation, as well as work plan of the Business council in 2012. Moreover, Mr. Ambassador underlined that Tunisian side paid big attention to the public procurement system in Russian and that is why joint exposition of the Tunisian companies would be presented in All-Russian Forum-Exhibition “GOSZAKAZ-2012” (15-17 February 2012, Moscow, IEC “Crocus Expo”).

Russian delegation took part in the Tunisia Investment Forum

"The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA Tunisia) organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, the first post-revolution economic event "Tunisia Investment Forum" which was held on 16 and 17 June, 2011 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in Gammarth. The Russian delegation included the following high-ranking officials: Mr. Golikov – Deputy Head of the Intergovernmental Russian-Tunisian Commission - Head of the Russian delegation, Mrs. Sadofieva – Chairman of the Russian-Tunisian business council, General director of INCONNECT-GROUP, Mr. Podenok – President, “Moscow Entrepreneurs’ Association” (Dates of stay – 16-19 of June) and other representatives of business circles.

With the slogan "New Tunisia New Opportunities", the event whose opening was provided by M. Beji Caid Essebsi, Prime Minister, was attended by foreign and Tunisian experts and investors who made presentations about the characteristics of the business environment of the new Tunisia.

More than 1,200 Tunisian and foreign participants took part in the event which was remarkably successful.

A thematic panel on "Democratic Transition: Challenges and prospects for improving the business environment" and two workshops presenting the new attractiveness of Tunisia, with a focus on foreign investment in inland areas and offshoring have were held on the second day of the Forum.

The Forum was also a privileged place for informal networking between foreign and Tunisian operators seeking new partnership and business opportunities.

The Exhibition of products of the Russian national handicrafts

Today, on the 11th of October 2010, in the Russian center of science and culture in Tunis an inauguration ceremony of «the Exhibition of products of the Russian national handicrafts», organized within the limits of the Russian-Tunisian business council, will be held with a support of the Moscow chamber of handicrafts and the Union of industrialists, businessmen and handicrafts of Tunisia (UTICA).

The purpose of this project is to present on the exposition with the area of 100 square m the most bright items of the Russian national creativity, not only known all over the world, such, for example, as Gzhel, Hohloma and Matreshka, but also to expand the presentation of the inhabitants of Tunis about unique variety of handicrafts of the people of Russia.

The master classes on production of the traditional Russian souvenirs and hand-made articles will be organized for visitors.

The exhibition will be opened by Mr. the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Tunisian republics, A.V.Poljakov. In the inauguration ceremony the Deputy manager of Department on work with the business councils of the Commercial and industrial Chamber of the Russian Federation G.G.Gamzatov, the President of the Moscow chamber of handicrafts L.N.Koshelev, the Director of the Russian center of a science and culture also will take part in Tunis S.J.Kuritsyn and the members of the Russian delegation.

Within the limits of the plenary meeting of the Russian-Tunisian business council will be signed the cooperation agreement between the Moscow chamber of handicrafts and the Tunisian chamber of handicrafts that testifies to the interest of both countries to development of mutual relations.

President Ben Ali condoles with Russian President

Following the significant casualties and damage caused by fires in some parts of the Russian Republic, President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali addressed a message of condolences to President Dmitri Medvedev.

In this message, the Head of State expressed to President Medvedev his sincere feelings of sympathy and compassion with families of the victims and the friendly people of Russia.

President Ben Ali also said that Tunisia is ready to provide assistance and make a civil defence team available to help the Russian authorities cope with this disaster.

Tunisia celebrates Russian language Day

alexandre-pushkineAs part of the launch of the United Nations 2010 days of languages, Tunisia will celebrate on June 9 the Russian language day which is one of the six official languages of the Organization.

The event will be celebrated at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Tunis. The initiative aims at promoting multilingualism and cultural diversity.

A presentation on 9 June will be devoted to the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837).
Prose, poetry and stories readings, a documentary exhibition on the work and career of Pushkin and a projection of fragments of films from the his will also be on the menu.
