The joint session of the Russian-Tunisian business council was held in Tunis with the participation of the Chairman of the both sides.

The regular session of the Russian-Tunisian business council (RTBC) was held in the “Crocus Expo” international exhibition center, Moscow on the 24th of March, 2010, within the frame of the 6th All-Russian Forum-Exhibition “GOSZAKAZ-2010”.

The opening speech was delivered by His Excellency Mr. Khemaies Zhinaui, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia in Russia, who welcomed the guests of the session and described the current positive state of development of the bilateral relationships in his report “Promising directions of the Russian-Tunisian cooperation"

There was adopted the decision to carry out the Exhibition of Russian handicrafts in Tunisia (October-November, 2010) and permanent Russian national exhibition in Tunisia.

17th of February, 2010

The organizing session of the Russian-Tunisian business council chaired by Vice-president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Mr Petrov was held at 6, Ilyinka-street, in Moscow.

The session was attended by representatives of the Ministry of International Affairs of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian, and business circles.

Mr Petrov welcomed the guests and gave positive rank of created in 2006 Russia-Tunisian business council. ?He emphasized that actual politic relationships between Russia and Tunisia create favorable conditions for development of the economic links.

The Adviser of Middle Eat and North Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mr Burtcev paid the attention that the Russian-Tunisian business council should contribute to the diversification of the bilateral cooperation.

Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Russian-Tunisian Commission Mr Chumachenko summarized the 3rd session of the Comission and expressed hope that the Russian-Tunisian business council would also participate in preparation of the 4th session of the Commission to be held in April, 2010 in Moscow.

The general director of the INCONNECT, ltd, Mrs Tatiana Sadofieva, was nominated to a post of Chairman of the Russian-Tunisian business council.

The Deputy Director for International Cooperation of the INCONNECT, ltd, Mrs Elena Uspenskaya was nominated as Executive Director of the RTBC and Deputy Chairman.
